Elite: Dangerous offering Steam keys to game owners

Good news if you’ve purchased or are thinking of purchasing Elite: Dangerous from the game’s website: Frontier said that it will be offering Steam keys to all owners, including Kickstarter backers. The studio is also working to connect Steam and Frontier accounts for those who prefer to play through Valve’s service.

“We know a number of long-time players and backers like to play through Steam and we think it’s fair everyone has that option, not just new players,” Community Manager Edward Lewis wrote.

The Steam keys will become available on May 28th and will be attainable through a player’s Frontier account page.

Cotic_OP LordOfBread And ED is currently 7th on the Steam top sellers list, more than a month after releasing there. Definition of failure right?

Wow, what a gobshite, you really do talk some shit don’t you. So desperate with your pathetic attempts at spreading rumours. it would be amusing if it wasn’t so sad.
Elite came out 31 years ago, with 3 other games in the franchise since then so they are hardly a copy of Star Citizen, perhaps you could tell us what exactly they’re copying – because I certainly can’t see it.
So far they’ve sold over 530,000 copies, which is $33.5 million (minimum), hardly a few copies and only a fool would think that means a 21 year old business are in financial hardship.
For someone that claims to have backed the game one would think that you’d know they used Kickstarter and not Indiegogo, thanks for confirming your lies about owning the game.

Since nothing they promised has arrived it’s just a poor attempt at a Star Citizen copy, with features that are no where to be seen and purely thrown in for promotional purposes. You company representatives crack me up. Grats on selling a few copies, enjoy it while it lasts before the layoffs. Sooner or later this scam will even be obvious to your die hard fans when they find out they fell for vaporware future feature announcements.

I just wanted to say that I am completely engrossed in this game right now and if you like space sims and are on the fence about getting into this one, take the plunge! It’s a great experience IMO. Steam integration is a nice option for them to include. They seem to be making all the right moves. Very impressed with the game and with Frontier. Keep it up!

Smiggins Ok At the risk of repeating myself.

If you get reported for Combat logging and there is not a genuine reason (i.e. death of internet connection) then you get moved to the shadow server where you will play either by yourself, or with other griefers and combat loggers that have also been put there.

Smiggins Hmm I seem to remember you asking this a few days ago. Lets see oh here we are May 8 and before that May 5 according to your post history.
Please refer to the comment you made on another site a day or so ago, “I smell troll” is what you apparently said in reply to someone else,  it must have rubbed off or something because there is a whiff of that around here now.
Have a nice day o/

(Love the livefyre post history)

Luxxicon My internet connection isn’t the best, so it will be nice to come home from work with a fully updated Elite.
