The Jedi Knight and Sith Warrior are the subject of today’s class change blog that highlights a new skill: “We wanted to increase the mobility of these formidable combatants in order to allow them to realize their full potential on the battle field, and to make them more difficult to kite. The new Knight/Warrior ability — Blade Blitz/Mad Dash — emphasizes this design intention, and Knight/Warrior players will find that they have an easier time staying on target while in combat.”
Speaking of the Sith Warrior, BioWare posted a spoiler-laden summary of the class’ personal story in case players want to create an instant level 60 come the expansion. Did we mention that it’s got a lot of spoilers? Because it totally does.

Polyanna They basically did this with every major expansion to the game (major being ones that expand the traditional content as opposed to something like galactic star fighter or strongholds) and I agree, I hate it. I get the idea behind it but I just don’t think it is a good way to handle it. At the very least they could make it happen less frequently than EVERY level cap increase (build your stat scale to not cap out at every level cap).
These change are underwhelming as shit. The point of the disciplines and utilities system was supposed to be that they easily could expand on a linear progression system without problems. But instead of doing that, they’re just stretching the entire tree out and adding nothing. So you grind five new levels for one crummy active, and they steal a utility point you already had at 60 just so they can hand it back at 65. This routine of taking away power you already had and making you grind new levels just to get right back to where is getting real old, and every “expansion” that does this screams even louder “we’re out of ideas.”
What good are Jedies and Sith of the old republic when they can be taken out by a simple trooper/BH/agent/smuggler. Dis they even lift back then?

Yeah, I’m not understanding their “logic”:
to prevent excessive power inflation…
 Â
Uh, what? The new ability is a top level one and it’s specifically target to solve a perceived PvP issue. What “power inflation,” exactly, that wasn’t already present? Looks to me like they just spread the butter a little thinner to cover a slightly larger piece of bread.
They need to revamp combat system from scratch. Its terrible
Sweet! We finally get a dash to catch up to ranged people kiting us!! HOORAY! Oh wait they are moving every single thing we use up a level or more for no reason! Nevermind!
thatchefdude More games need that feature.
