Weather can have a pretty big impact on your day-to-day life, even if it’s just the difference between being stuck inside over the course of a weekend or going for a walk. The Division isn’t letting the idea of weather go to waste, though. Although the chaotic Manhattan of the game’s setting is locked in winter, the day-to-day weather of the location can and will have a notable effect upon gameplay.
Both players and NPCs, for example, will have to contend with storms and blizzards that drop visibility to near zero. The weather and the lighting will also affect which NPCs can be seen in the world and what wildlife is on display. Check out the full development dispatch for a few more morsels about how the game will make the weather matter when the game finally launches in March of next year.
