Overwatch beta is taking off for winter break

And here we go again.

Everyone needs a break sometimes. It’s a chance to step back, examine what’s going on, take a few deep breaths, all of that good stuff. Overwatch‘s closed beta also needs a break, and is going offline for an extended break starting on December 10th and lasting until sometime in January. The exact date of re-activation has not yet been announced or determined.

The stated reason for the break isn’t that there’s something intensely wrong with the game but that it gives the development team time to step back, examine the collected data, and make adjustments to the game without any new information coming in. If you’re in the testing, there’s no need to worry, as you’ll still be in the testing when the closed beta re-launches in January. Everyone wins, unless you were planning on using the test as an excuse for avoiding your family during the holidays.

Omedon I think the two’s art style are similar personally.  Obviously OW is much cleaner, modernized but the similarities are there.  TF2 is fun.  If you dont mind the update you should check it out.  Or, like me, throw caution to the wind and just get OW :)

WoW’s Legion might be needing all the resources for an on-time launch, maybe getting some extra staff now, maybe.

You are a parrot. You repeat the same shit all the time. It plays nothing like TF2 lol. Absolutely nothing like it. How are you not banned yet. You are worse than GG.

I couldn’t get past the art style of TF2, unfortunately. I know this because I did indeed go to it as a potential alternative in the meantime.

I guess I’ve had enough experience with FPS games that my brief time in the open beta wasn’t anything great. I’m sure Blizzard will bring their fans into the FPS world where they never would give it a chance before.
Dunno. Just wasn’t all that. It’s not that it was bad, just, well, a typical shooter crammed with a bunch of simple classes. For me, that particular weekend, Star Wars Battlefront was far more compelling of a FPS.

Omedon play Team Fortress 2.  If you like it, you’ll like this game.  This game is an updated Team Fortress 2.

Maybe during the break they’ll be able to put in some more game modes as currently the one and half game modes(capture points then payload is more like payload + then a new game mode to be honest) don’t really seem like enough to justify 40 dollars for the pc version or 60 dollars for the console version.

This game is so much fun. I haven’t had this much fun in a multiplayer shooter in a looooong time. Despite there being no progression or anything to earn in game you find yourself saying “just one more game” over and over. It’s refreshing to do that because it’s fun and not because you still need to earn the gear you want to use.

Too bad I only got in for the beta weekend. /sadtrombone

Dystopiq Omedon Yeah, I mean, beta is beta and I’d of course temper my expectations thusly, I just would like to see this legendary newbie on-ramp for myself!
