Fancy yourself an accomplished ‘Mech pilot? Then you’ll want to get seven of your best friends to form a team for the MechWarrior Online World Championships. After all, you’re the best around — and nothing is gonna ever keep you down!
The 8v8 tournament will take place starting this summer, with teams being winnowed down to the very best. The world finals will then take place at Vancouver’s Mech Con on December 3rd, with the proceedings to be streamed on Twitch.
The prize pool for the world championships is starting at $100,000, although it will be boosted by half of the proceeds of any purchases of MechWarrior Online tournament support packs.
