Overwatch open beta is live until May 9th

Tired of just watching the people who get to shoot their way through Overwatch in its more selective test phases? You don’t have to just watch any longer. The game’s open beta starts today and runs until May 9th, giving everyone a chance to jump in and take sides in the endless conflict between your team and whomever happens to be on the other team.

Overwatch is launching on May 25th, with a variety of bonuses for players who pre-order before the launch. The open beta is available to anyone with a Battle.net account and features all of the content from the game’s launch, so you don’t have to worry about getting a diminished experience.

Good fun, great to play with friends, very slick and polished combat simulator. I probably won’t play it too long, simply because, well, combat simulator.

What we need now is for Blizzard to get up at Blizzcon and say “Just kidding everyone! This was totally a combat feasibility test! Overwatch/Titan the MMORPG will be out in 2 years!”

Not my cup of tea. Generally my non-MMOing gamer friends are alllllllll over this one, and my MMOing gamer friends aren’t. Seems good though.

Playing, now purchased…  and despite the love I give it, it’s frustrating being so early on this game’s learning curve with all the closed beta players wrecking my face.

I have been having a bunch of fun with it so far.
Although I will be interested to see how it does on the market once it’s out at full price.

Siphaed “Even the game Paragon (EPIC Games MOBA) started a free Stress Test weekend.  Did that get covered either?  Nope.  Tisk, tisk.”
Out of curiosity, I checked, and it’s only open for people who signed up on or before May 1st.
Which is completely fucking useless to anyone who didn’t already sign up beforehand, obviously. So yeah. No point there.

I know i knock Blizz for being copy cats but it’s hard to knock a solid fun game like this.

porktater wahnsinnicK yeah TF2 has always been extremely well polished.  Balance, maps, and game modes were always very robust.

Don’t get me wrong I really enjoy Overwatch just saying it needs more to compete for my attention.

After this weekend i’m sticking with TF2, HotS and Vermentide.
