ARK: Survival Evolved celebrates a year of early access

Bring out your party hats and kazoos because ARK: Survival Evolved is celebrating its first birthday as an early access title this week with a big ol’ birthday patch.

“The Dragon makes its debut in ARK: Survival Evolved on its Birthday Week as players can now face off the mighty beast and its fearsome flyer minions in their epic treacherous volcanic lair! Patch 242 also introduces additional tribe member settings, a training dummy, diseases and cures, interactive baby raising, two new creatures, the Dilplodocus, the Leech and so much more!”

Don’t look at me like that. Dragons are just as believable as a survival game with humans and dinos.

The game’s also running a week-long birthday events with hats, “birthday suits” for streaking, and cake. CAKE!┬áStay tuned for our birthday stream at 9 p.m. EDT tonight, and check out the video and screenies below!
