Diablo III launches season 10 for both PC and console

13

Diablo III’s 10th season is officially live as of this weekend, capping off last week’s 2.5.0 patch by welcoming console players to the seasonal fun.

If you’ve never played through the seasons before, know that they’re an epic way to play the game for the first time, zip through a class you’ve always wanted to try, or rack up a ton of loot on a rebirthed toon, even if you don’t finish every last achievement.

“Seasons are an optional, recurring game mode that offers players the opportunity to periodically start fresh, leveling new Normal or Hardcore heroes from level 1 without any currency, resources, items, or previously earned Paragon experience. Similar to the separation between Normal and Hardcore game modes, Seasonal heroes will also have their own shared stash and Artisan progression. Any currency, materials, recipes, items, Paragon experience, and Artisan progression earned during a Season will be rolled over to a player’s non-Seasonal profile once the Season concludes.”

I played, and really enjoyed, D3 for a while, but that’s about it. You know, it’s pretty pathetic when your end-game is so weak that rolling a new character is its focal point, lol.

I mean, that’s basically the point of Diabloesque games, and the roguelikes that came before. You get to the end, and you start over with something different.

At this time seasons are much of the reason I don’t return to D3. Blizzard removed what I found enjoyable in them (getting the story achievements again) and instead made them about grinding their boring end-game.

I’m sure all 435 people still playing the game will love this new, totally original and not repetitive season.

No kidding. I hope the idiot devs responsible for this terrible game are enjoying their vision of what “fun” is, because they are probably about the only ones left playing it lol

At this point my friends and i are so done with seasons, i wonder who is still seeing a tenth go around and getting that excited still? surely the number can’t be huge.

But i guess it also can’t be that hard support wise either.

Sorry, too busy chasing challenges in POE to chase them in D3.

Oh boy thanks Blizzard another scoop of bland ass oat meal just like last season, only with some extra features like a shake of cinnamon!

Anyone else having issues with the site lately? The past couple days I’ve had trouble with pages seeming to be stuck mid-load. And my scroll wheel doesn’t work on the site, works fine everywhere else to scroll down the page but here I’m having to drag the scroll bar(I’m using chrome)
On topic, I’m re-downloading D3 now to check out the changes they’ve done lately

Pretty nice update cadence for a one-time purchase.

Too late. I wouldn’t bother to go back to D3, especially on the console with the knowledge PoE has a console port in the works.

The fact that D3 is the only arpg worth anything on consoles is a travesty. POE is going to get so much attention they won’t know what to do!
