Today’s a big day for the Xbox One version of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, as the latest patch officially brings it into version 1.0. In addition to implementing a number of optimization improvements and quality-of-life features, the patch also introduces new weapons and the third playable map. The star of the show is of course the the Southeast-Asian-flavored Sanhok map, where players can battle to the death across a trio of lush, tropical islands that clock in at about a quarter of the size of the game’s other two maps, leading to fast and intense matches.

The patch also expands the available arsenal with the QBZ assault rifle, the QBU designated marksman rifle, and a new vehicle, the Rony pickup truck, of which the latter two are exclusive to Sanhok itself. In addition, the patch adds weapon and parachute skins to the game and introduces the new loot crate system. To top it all off, the game is also receiving a handful of performance tweaks and bugfixes. The patch notes also reveal that two new features, War Mode and Custom Matches, are slated for release in the near future, with the former slated for a weekend event later this month and the latter set to release in mid-October.
