For everyone who fancies a trip to New Zealand, Path of Exile’s ExileCon tix are now on sale

Be honest, a visit to New Zealand to see all the Lord of the Rings filming locations is still on your bucket list. You can make it a reality this fall – spring, really – when Path of Exile’s Grinding Gear Games plays host to its first-ever ExileCon.

Running November 16th to 17th in Auckland, New Zealand, the event is expected to herald announcement for the 3.9.0 and 4.0.0 expansions as well as offer exclusive digitals, unreleased content hands-ons, tourney finals, and dev discussions, plus a big ol’ party.

VIP tickets ($500) and Ultra VIP tickets (1000) appear to be sold out already, but there are still some regular tix ($200) on offer as of press time. The studio said not to worry, though, if stuff appears sold out – this is only round one:

“We are initially selling one big batch of tickets, but will hold some in reserve for later release. Don’t worry if you miss out, we’ll make sure to indicate in advance when the second batch will go on sale.”

Can’t attend in person? Hobbiton will miss you, but you can catch the ExileCon events via stream for free.

I’ve been lucky enough to visit New Zealand three times, it’s a great place for tourists.

Just got the news about what’s happening in New Zealand at this very moment, horrible news for what is otherwise a very peaceful nation.

Yeah it has been a horrific day here. My hearts full of sadness. We are a peaceful nation that has been a shelter for all people.

Acts of evil will never define us but its a very dark time.

New Zealand is an incredible place. Best trip I ever took was to NZ. If you can afford it, GO!

For me – time is harder to afford than the cash. Going for anything less than two weeks wouldn’t be worth it due to the flight lengths. It’s basically 3 days in the air and airports.

What is sad is I’d rather meet Path’s streamers and builders rather than the developers. The developers are fine and all but it is the people who try to break their system with overpowered builds who are the heroes.

Perhaps I should visit it. After reading “Moby-Dick” I always wanted to see – how does whale hunt look like?

Unless that $200 includes airfare from North Carolina to New Zealand.* Cause that would be a great deal.

* Well, there and back again, as it were.

From ATL, which is probably comparable to Charlotte, is roughly $1700 – $2000 round trip to Auckland for a week.
