LOTRO and DDO hand out downtime compensation packages as spring festival begins

Freebies! Who wants freebies? Get them while they’re hot! Get them while your inventory still has space!

Oh, hello, I see you heard my call. Step into my parlor and select from my fine free wares. Would you like a Lord of the Rings Online compensation package? It contains many figments of splendor, dyes, XP boosts, and buffs for your well-being! Or perhaps you are more interested in Dungeons and Dragons Online? Experience elixirs and a Raider’s Reward box will fill your already expansive coffers! To get either or both, you will need to enter the code “REWARD2019” into each respective game’s store by April 30th (and yes, this applies for everyone, even those who didn’t even notice all the game’s downtime earlier this month).

Is that not enough bounty for your liking? Then you absolutely must log into LOTRO this week to reap the benefits of the Spring Festival, which is running from now through April 10th. There is a new spring goat mount, which will no doubt come in handy if you are traversing the inner depths of Moria. Good luck, my friend!

Appreciated, I didn’t even plan to play during the downtime period but still got the rewards. I kinda started to feel around in DDO and hey, Turbine makes good MMO’s! I’d wish they’d be able to unite their old-school sensibilties with modern tech(engine).

An engine overhaul would be nice, but before then … why the hell don’t we have 2FA on accounts? It’s 2019 and they aren’t taking account security seriously!

And for those who think security is not an issue, you only think that until it happens to you.

Warning on the DDO reward: one of the rewards binds to the character you are signed into, so make sure you are on the one you want to receive the rewards.
