The first major Hearthstone content update since the release of last month’s Rise of Shadows expansion is now live, and it has players working alongside the devious Arch-Villain Rafaam and his sinister League of E.V.I.L. to pull off a heist of monumental — or perhaps metropolitan — proportions: stealing the entire floating city of Dalaran. Signalling the start of Hearthstone’s “first-ever year-long storyline” and spanning “five massive chapters,” The Dalaran Heist is the game’s “biggest and most amitious Solo Adventure yet,” according to Blizzard President J. Allen Brack.
In The Dalaran Heist, the standard hero characters are replaced by “nine completely new anti-hero ‘henchmen,'” each of whom is “fully voice-acted and features a customizable loadout comprising unique Hero Powers and multiple deck options.” The first chapter of The Dalaran Heist is available for free to all Hearthstone players, though the subsequent chapters will need to be unlocked for 700 gold each or for $19.99 for the lot of them. For each chapter they complete, players will be rewarded with three Rise of Shadows packs, plus additional rewards for players who finish all five. If you want to case the joint before you put your plan into action, you can learn a bit more about the skullduggery that awaits you over on the game’s official site.
It’s time to enact the greatest scheme ever devised and steal the entire city of Dalaran! Chapters 1+2 of The Dalaran Heist are now live.
