Let me tell you about this thing you can buy.

Guild Wars 2’s latest balancing update is live today, with a promised overhaul of attribute-selectable gear – that is, gear for which you can pick stat sets according to your own character’s build and preferences. As ArenaNet previously explained, it’s trying to “reduce the confusion” about these combos, as well as remove useless combos and improving those that remain.

“The majority of attribute-selectable equipment in the game will be updated to include all of the attribute combinations available to your account, based on the expansions you own,” the studio wrote. “Legendary equipment will still have all attribute combinations available regardless of expansion ownership.” You can log in right now and re-select your new bonuses on all relevant gear.

Incidentally, the cash shop has updated with a fun new toy: a chair device that allows players to snuggle up to their skyscale. Too cute. Want more Guild Wars 2 stuff to digest today? We just published a piece on why GW2’s flying mounts are the best in the genre.
