Last week, an old friend of my family (who happens to be an amazing photographer) uploaded a fab shot of a statue of a god in Paris. In so doing, he quipped that he really dug the “Final Fantasy-esque giant sword,” and he was not kidding around: The broad part of the sword is bigger than the statue’s head. Yes, people have been fantasizing about absurdly huge, er, swords for a very long time.
I thought it’d make a fun jumping-off point for discussing weapons in MMORPGs. We joke around about big shoulder armor and swords and whatnot in games, but I gotta wonder which game is the absolute worst about it – or best, depending on your view. Which MMORPG boasts the most outrageously oversized weapons? Pics or it didn’t happen!
