For a limited time, Apex Legends will be giving players the option to fight as a member of a one-person team. Traditionally, the game has played with teams of three, but players have been asking for a solo version more or less since its release. Now the option is here as part of the Iron Crown Collection event, starting on August 13th and running until August 27th. Players can go in without any support whatsoever, and there can be only one winner in the end.

Of course, the event is only going to be running for a limited time, and it appears that the solo mode will also be a limited-time thing. Still, if you’ve longed for the chance to succeed or fail purely on your own skill, this is your opportunity to do just that. And if that leads you to realize that you may not actually get very far surviving purely on your own skill… well, that’ll be an interesting revelation as well.
