Wednesday, September 18th, will see a Storm of Arrows rain down on Blade & Soul, and that storm is primarily caused by the new Zen Archer class, which is the marquee feature of the update. But just what is this character capable of? Players of the action MMO now have a slightly better idea.
The Zen Archer is a DPS class (obviously) that relies on positioning and careful aim to be the most successful (also obviously). Since the class needs to stay stationary in order to fire, players will need to use their various abilities to make sure they’re in the best possible place to fling pointy sticks into targets with the power of potential energy (and probably kung fu magic).
The Zen Archer has two specializations: Lightbringer, which is a PvE-minded spec that dishes out a variety light-based attacks while also using maneuvers to keep at an optimal distance; and Windpiercer, a PvP spec that has fewer abilities overall but gains quicker attacks, the ability to enter stealth, and even the ability to see foes who are in stealth themselves.
