Just because an update has a rather imposing title like Fort of the Damned doesn’t mean that everything about your life in Sea of Thieves is going to get harder. As a matter of fact, there will be a variety of quality-of-life features added with next week’s content and executive producer Joe Neate is here to tell you all about them.
According to Neate, gunpowder barrels that are near each other will now blow up in succession instead of all at once, pet sounds when in danger have been tuned down to be less “excessive,” a couple of minor tweaks to entering aiming or blocking when coming in and out of a sprint will be added, and a new accessibility option that lets players switch certain held button actions to toggles like aiming downsights is on the way.
For those with lady avatars or those who simply want more feminine dress options, Fort of the Damned will also be introducing a wider range of feminine clothing options, as well as options to let players change the color of their underwear.
Quality-of-life, everyone.
While all of that is coming next week, it’s also a good time to look back at the month that was, which Rare has done with a September roundup as well as this design-focused look at the Smuggler’s Fortune update.
