Let’s be honest: The last time a brand-new MMORPG really deserved a GOTY was when Black Desert ran away with it. This is why we swapped over to giving our MMO of the Year awards to whatever game made the biggest splash in the year, not just the best of the new.
But it’s still fun to paw through the new and make them fight, right? So that’s what we’re going to do in this Leaderboard right here.
For the purposes of this poll, we’ve included a wide range of newish MMORPGs, MMOs, multiplayer sandboxes, battle royale games, MOBAs, and shooters – basically, a wide range of all the newish stuff we covered here on MOP in 2019. We also included a range of games in various states of launch, from completely and totally out of the gate to early access.
You get five votes on this one! What was the best new MMO or online game of 2019?

No Bless Online?
lol, no.
Lost Ark ofc. Funny how MOP keeps refusing to add it to the polls
Lost Ark is not yet playable in the west and not yet eligible for these polls, as has been explained to you about a dozen times.
Void.
Going Wizards Unite only because its the only one of these I played. Ha!
I LOVE that Tetris 99 has votes. <3
SLAY, L-BLOCK, SLAY!
That CubeWorld option though.
Yikes, what a disappointing end to that saga.
It was a one man project and the dude was probably initially overwhelmed by the reception. Considering he’d vanish for huge periods of time that killed all early hype around it and the game didn’t age well.
Oh man, so many MMORPGs to choose fro-…
None of the above.
I’ve played 3 games on this entire list, and only one of them deserved a vote. Congratulations to a fresh new spin on one of the oldest games out there!
Thea 2. More of the same, multiplayer fun and entertainment working together, and really no way to grief anyone. You lose nothing from playing with others, nobody can ruin the experience, and the game itself is fun for those who enjoy that type of game (rpg/strategy card hybrid).
