WRUP: Three directors whom I suspect of filling my personal belongings with mayonnaise edition

Mayonnaise is funny

Sir Ridley Scott: On five separate occasions I have seen Sir Ridley Scott running away from my mailbox with mayonnaise dripping down his chin and flipping me the double bird. While my mailbox remains unmolested after these incidents, I have inevitably found my outdoor grill to be cleaned of all loose charcoal and instead completely filled with a yellowish mayonnaise. I have done nothing to Sir Ridley Scott to warrant this behavior.

Jon Watts: While Jon Watts has not made his presence felt directly on my property, I have come out to find my mailbox filled with mayonnaise numerous times, and on each occasion there has been either a crumpled piece of notepad paper reading “From the desk of Jon Watts” within or a napkin with a phone number signed “Jon Watts.” My mail is unrecoverable. The post office thinks I am doing this to myself. I sit up at night and cry.

Rob Reiner: When it was only Sir Ridley Scott I was willing to let this go, but yesterday Rob Reiner burst into my home with two jars of Hellman’s Mayonnaise, ran up the stairs of my home, and smashed both jars into my upstairs sink. He then proceeded to beat his chest for two minutes before running out of my house to a moped being driven by Sir Ridley Scott. I am not sure why this is happening or whether they are mad or trying to be kind. Please leave your answers in What Are You Playing.

Bonus question: What’s your favorite theme song from a television series?

Andrew Ross (@dengarsw): I’m pretty excited about Pokemon Go’s rocket event. Things have been pretty interesting lately between how Shadow Pokemon have been reworked and how their built in arena league’s been unfolding. I’ve also gotten back into Pokemon Sword since Pokemon Home has allowed me to reclaim some Pokemon from past games (oh Shiny Gengar, how I missed you!).

Bonus Question: The first theme song from One-Punch Man! It’s so perfect for the anime. It’s uplifting but depressing, funny but honest, energetic but sung by older JRock stars. It’s also one of the only Japanese songs I could kiind of get through during karaoke at one point. It came in handy while driving home a favored (but drunk) coworker once who suddenly felt like we had to karaoke that specific song while I was driving on the freeway. Man, maybe I should practice that again this weekend at some point.

Brianna Royce (@nbrianna, blog): I’m back in City of Heroes, fam. Probably be playing my Staff/Rad a bit more and my masterminds. I’ll also definitely be dipping into Star Wars Galaxies Legends because I am really struggling keeping my vendors fully stocked with the influx of new players buying everything up. It’s a good problem to have!

For the bonus… everything that is popping to mind is tripping my annoyance wire – like Game of Thrones. Amazing concept for an intro; very annoying music.

Eliot Lefebvre (@Eliot_Lefebvre, blog): Usual Final Fantasy XIV stuff, maybe a little single-player gaming, I’m honestly a bit up in the air at the moment. Need to actually sit down and invest myself in a project again, if we’re being realistic.

It’s kind of crazy that Bear McCreary composed an amazing opening theme for Defiance and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. basically back-to-back, but he did it. I like those opening themes. Not that it really matters, because we already know what the absolute best television program opening of all time looks like. (The second-best opening is, of course, the Batman: The Animated Series opening.)

Justin Olivetti (@Sypster, blog): I’ve been roaring back into World of Warcraft: Classic with a brand-new Gnome Warlock. Something about the older design feels more comfortable and engaging than the modern client, so it’s nice to explore that for now. Other than that, I am adventuring through Rohan on Lord of the Rings Online’s progression server and enjoying a smattering of Divinity: Original Sin 2.

Samon Kashani (@thesamkash): Shadow Arena is on the menu this weekend folks! I think Carlo and I are looking at a future esport championship. Maybe.

I’ve had the original Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon song stuck in my head for a couple weeks now. Too fast for the naked eye, Sonic the Hedgehog!

Tyler Edwards: Hoping to finish up the campaign in Wolcen soon. I definitely want to start over with an alt or two at some point, but I might wait for the promised round of polish and bug fixes. We’ll see. I’m also probably going to dip into Star Trek Online for the new event, and I have plenty of other games to get to in my backlog. Finally bought NieR: Automata on a Steam flash sale the other day, among other options.

Bonus question: Hmm, it’s probably a tie between Futurama and Star Trek: The Next Generation.
