In what’s being touted as its largest update yet, the colorful sandbox MMO SamuTale has done a wholesale revamp of its game world. This new world refresh includes six different biomes, a variety of graphical improvements, and some new resources for players to harvest and craft with spread around these new biomes. Incidentally, one of these new materials includes coal, which can be used in the creation of new explosive barrels that can perhaps make raiding another person’s village a bit easier.
On the subject of clan villages, the way land claiming works has also been adjusted. Clans can still use a land flag, but now the flag simply expands the space that can be built and prevents others from building too close while also removing protection from player damage to buildings or objects. If you’d rather not rake in the gold needed for a flag, a locked settlement can be built without one, it just means other players can build their own structures nearby.
As a result of this world reset, the Okura Village safe zone has been adjusted into a trading post, condensing the features of the old village into a more compact and less needlessly expansive location. Incidentally, the world reset also means there’s a character reset, so founders will find their in-game rewards waiting at the new post. A full set of patch notes and other details are on the SamuTale website.
