The Daily Grind: Are there any languishing MMOs you’re still hopeful will recover?

Sorry, guys.

You know, I was pretty down with the long wait for Final Fantasy XIV‘s most recent patch, but I have nothing on Secret World Legends fans. I had to wait two months longer than planned. They have been waiting for what feels like it has been four hundred years, and there’s no sign of hope on the horizon. And yet I know there are still SWL fans who are hoping that sooner or later, new content is coming, despite any and all disappointing evidence that it’s never happening.

Not that this is the only game languishing in a holding pattern; RIFT and Champions Online players would both like some substantial content updates, I have no doubt. But there is always the slight flash of hope that even though the game has languished, some day, there may be new content to experience. So are there any languishing MMOs you’re still hopeful will recover and start updating and impressing once again?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
