By tomorrow evening’s BlizzConline keynote address, we’ll have a lot better idea what Blizzard has in store for its various properties. Until then, we’re going to be riding high on waves of speculation and rumors.

And hey, speaking of rumors, Wowhead has noted that the studio has updated its beta access help pages for World of Warcraft, Diablo IV, and Diablo Immortal. This could be an indication that testing is imminent for all three titles.

“For Diablo IV and World of Warcraft, the pertinent changes are to the lines that relate to the existence of an alpha or beta testing program,” Wowhead wrote. “For Diablo Immortal, a lack of a cached version of the page leads BlizzPlanet to speculate that it is a newly created page. Note none of these pages unequivocally states anything to get excited about, but they do give us a hint as to what may be at the top of Blizzard’s mind.”

Massively OP will be covering and analyzing all of the latest breaking news from BlizzConline this weekend as is tradition, so stay tuned.

I dont want D4 to be entering beta yet. Its too soon. Beta means the game will launch in around 6 months, and given how many times D4’s development process has been wiped and started over, the current iteration of it hasnt been in development long enough to really build confidence in a well made game. I hope they dont let the demand for the game push it out early, like so many other big games have been doing lately.

The only date I am interested in for D4 is a release date. Everything before that is a pointless waste of time to me.

Mobile games are terrible and should not be played by anyone.

Everyone poops… or so the book is titled…

and thus… mobile games have at least ONE purpose…

Honestly, some games just have too complex of a control set, UI, and gameplay mechanics to work on mobile, and thus when you get a mobile version of a known game title, its going to be very dumbed down in order to fit mobile ui/controls and mechanics. The majority of the time its also going to design those mechanics around mobile monetization. This means you cant just sit down and play a “Civilization 6” game like you would on PC. Instead you are met with pay walls, time gates that require you to pay to keep playing, or pay to speed up intentional slow downs. Its all garbage.
