Dual Universe has been lauding the impending arrival of the Demeter update, noting its arrival was soon and talking up its various features in the days leading up to the patch. As of yesterday, the update has been made available to players, bringing with it a variety of large-scale changes.
One of the larger changes involves mining, specifically the addition of mining units that make the process of mining more automated. The update has also added land taxes for territory control, requiring players to put in weekly payments to keep their territory – and its buildings – humming. Lastly, there have been visual improvements for Jago and Teoma, as well as a geometry reset that closes underground tunnels. There are no patch notes to speak of, but there is a video below, which is still pretty informative. Or at least illustrative.
