The Daily Grind: Which MMO offered the best PvE experience in 2021?

If you’ve been following our awards this year, you know we brought back our PvP award for 2021. We’d let it go for a while since we just didn’t have many MMOs with genuinely good PvP to make it much of a challenge. That wasn’t the case in 2021!

However, it still seems silly to give a formal PvE award as a counterpart. Realistically, our top game awards go to PvE MMORPG games anyway, so an award would just let the dominant gameplay in our genre collect another medal.

Still, it’s worth examining the idea of a PvE award. I mean, not all PvE is created equal. Some folks prefer grinding to questing. Some prefer linear arcs to jumping around in some level-agnostic gameworld. Some people want to spend all their time in a dungeon or raid. Some people want really good combat, while others see combat as a means to an end. Some games are simply better at PvE than others.

Let’s consider the concept of PvE, specifically PvM, in today’s Daily Grind. Which MMO offered the best PvE experience in 2021?
