Don’t play a drinking game with the word “fix” when it comes to this week’s New World patch, because your liver will revolt. Update 1.6.6 hit the servers yesterday with a bevy of adjustments and corrections for the fantasy-horror MMO, hopefully improving the game as a whole.
The patch fixed a problem with respawn screens not showing up, server crashes, expedition bugs, issues with various housing items, and stubborn summer villages that decided to stick around even though the event had wrapped up.
Of course, this isn’t the update everyone is excited to see; that would be the upcoming Brimstone Sands content drop, which includes a new zone and a revamp of the early leveling experience.
