At this point it’s not really surprising when New World shifts its number of servers up and down – scalable server services is part of Amazon’s whole deal, after all. Still, it is important to call out when these events are happening, and so we’re doing so once more as the devs have scheduled the MMO’s next merge round for Tuesday, January 10th.
These merges will affect the Central EU, US East, South America, and Australia server clusters, with most of the mergers happening to EU and US servers: Twelve different EU servers will condense into a total of seven, while five US servers will shuffle into five existing servers. The merging is scheduled to occur at 12:00 p.m. EST on the appointed date, with the operation estimated to take about two hours.
