Palia teases its winter festival rollout and puzzle-oriented Temple of the Gales

You had to know a cozy co-op game like Palia would be decking the halls with some winter festivities, and that’s exactly what this week’s dev update heralds. Yes, it’s still November, but these seasonal changes will be rolling out slowly over the next few weeks, rather than all at once, complete with environmental effects, snowball fights, and decorating your very own tree.

“As you saw with our first step into Fall, Palia is eager to celebrate the turn of the seasons,” Singularity 6 says. “As we approach December, you will start to see heaps of fluffy snow all around Kilima Village, a mischievous way to ‘share’ that snow with your friends, and a new creative way to add decor to your home. You will also be learning more about ‘Winterlights,’ a Majiri celebration that brings light to the darkest days of the year, and shares that light with family, friends, and community!”

S6 is also teasing a new area called Temple of the Gales, which looks like a floating island that offers mysteries and collaborative puzzle-solving. Improved controls, tweaks for quest and ammo pouches, and accomplishment credit fixes are also en route.
