PvPvE extraction RPG Seekers of Skyveil continues closed alpha tests and reveals more characters

We’re going to need a few moments to recount this one because it’s had a bit of a winding initial path. At the start of 2023, Elodie Games, a studio that names vet devs from Riot Games, Blizzard Entertainment, and BioWare among its headcount, announced a “social cooperative action RPG game” codenamed Project Skies. There followed some general silence until September and October, when Elodie hinted at – and then confirmed – that this social cooperative game is a fantasy-themed PvPvE extraction RPG called Seekers of Skyveil.

We’ve since circled back around to check in on Skyveil’s progress, which has mostly been chronicled publicly on Twitter: The extraction title did indeed hold its first alpha on October 20th as scheduled, followed by additional tests in early November and over this past weekend. The game has also shared a pair of character previews.

Meanwhile, most of the game’s immediate news hides in Discord, where Elodie Games announced the start of one last playtest for NA and EU players today, December 15th, along with the promise of more testing details to come in January.
