Dungeons & Dragons Online begins taking applications for its next player council

The time for opinionated yet active fans of Dungeons & Dragons Online to perhaps gain the direct ear of Standing Stone Games is nigh, as the MMORPG is now opening applications for its next player council focus group between now and Wednesday, February 28th.

As with previous such councils, this is effectively a focus group of active players and another layer of feedback for SSG, with a makeup that tries to cover as wide a variety of playstyles and interests as possible. Interested fans of the game must be in good standing, an active player, capable of writing and sometimes speaking in English, and agree to an NDA.

The studio takes great pains to warn that being part of this group may not be for everyone, noting that applicants should have the “patience and long-term thinking” required to see how video games are made and that not every idea provided will be a good one. “If you read something on Lamannia that you don’t like, for example, and you feel like you need to warn others about it, this program probably isn’t for you,” the post notes. “For the right person with a good ability to provide quality feedback and a high level of interest in Dungeons & Dragons Online, the DDO Players Council can be extremely rewarding.”

Additional details including the NDA itself, an FAQ, and the application link can be found on the game’s site.
