While its final tally may not be record-breaking in the annals of crowdfunding, a win is a win for multiplayer life sim Galactic Getaway.
The Animal Crossing-in-space title surpassed its $50,000 Kickstarter ask to end at $65,847 in the final hours of February. This was enough to propel Galactic Getaway across three stretch goals, adding cooking, fishing, and player shops to the project.
Galactic Getaway describes itself as “the ultimate space adventure for you and your friends.” It includes customizable planets, gadgets, minigames, housing, and knowledge collecting. There’s no date projected for its launch, but when it arrives, it will be on PC, Mac, and Nintendo Switch. Alpha is in April, followed by early access in August
