Zenith previews Infinite Realms Season 2 as players reviewbomb the Last City MMO

Zenith continues to look more and more like a tale of two totally different games – the originally Kickstarted MMORPG The Last City and its recently released side game Infinite Realms – in terms of update focus from developer Ramen VR. The studio has put forth a preview of Season 2 for Infinte Realms, which promises new things to do for players of the spinoff game while the MMO continues to languish.

The announcement post is a bit thin on overall details for IR’s Season 2, but it does confirm a new boss, new biome, a new magic element, new cosmetics, and more bug fixes. The bulk of the post otherwise explains what will happen when the new season lands as player levels and skill trees will reset, previously acquired gear will be converted into Dust currency, and rank and prestige assignments will be handed out. The season is set to arrive sometime between March 28th and April 3rd.

Zenith’s recent update notes focusing on IR are not helping the perception that Last City is being pushed aside, as players on Steam continue to leave angry negative recent reviews that argue the game is abandoned by the studio, empty of players, and riddled with bugs. Considering the fact that Last City hasn’t seen new content since last October, still hasn’t gotten the separate PC release that was promised during crowdfunding, and is now being left behind in favor of side game updates, we’d say it’s a pretty bad look.
