With Final Fantasy XIV fans counting down the months and weeks until Dawntrail’s release, there’s a strong chance that they’ll grab on to any information that the devs offer up. That’s why a broadcast on Friday, April 12th, is a big deal, as that will be the date of the next Letter from the Producer Live.

The highlight of this live letter is a focus on what’s to come in patch 7.0, aka the patch that will arrive with the expansion’s launch. The presentation also promises a look at “miscellaneous updates” as well as a segment that shares some trivia from the MMORPG. The live letter will begin at 12:00 a.m. EDT on Saturday, April 13th, with Japanese only audio but Japanese and English show slides as usual.

The live letter will also be the opening salvo of FFXIV’s next 14 hour-long broadcast, with pet pics, a segment featuring the in-studio band The Primals, and a roundtable discussion with the devs to close out the game’s 10th anniversary. Meanwhile, there’s a preview post that provides a closer look at all of the physical gubbins awaiting in the collector’s edition of Dawntrail, just in case you need to study the Viper’s statue’s petability. It does look very pettable.
