The latest patch for Elite: Dangerous is a little bit less about content additions and more about the cash shop, which is now offering up its previously announced pre-built ships for players to spend their cash shop currency on – including the Python Mk II, which is available three months ahead of when it will be on offer for in-game credits.
The new Python comes in two variants: a standard version that grants the base ship and a stellar version with an “A-rated combat build,” along with standalone purchases for a ship kit and paint jobs for the craft. The other pre-built ships include an alien-fighting Chieftan, a laser mining Type-9, and an exploration-focused Diamondback. These bundles range in price from $13 to $19, with the Python Stellar hitting the higher end at roughly $24 or so at current ARX costs.
As for things not related to the cash shop, the update has made some tweaks to the supercruise overdrive feature like reduced heat, allowed more hyperdrives to use supercruise overdrive, and fixed a number of bugs.
