Bye.

Here’s the good news about Wildermyth if you’ve never heard of it: The game is out now, and the announcement below comes after the release of the game’s second DLC, so this is not a game which has been cut short. But if you’ve loved the co-op roguelike storytelling RPG, you may have been hoping for even more after the second DLC. An announcement on Twitter confirms that the game’s development is ending with the Omenroad DLC, and while bugfixes and other platforms are still in the cards, Wolrdwalker Games has ceased further development on the title.

It certainly sounds from the announcement itself that this is coinciding with some degree of layoffs, as the letter mentions “saying goodbye to some team members” without further details, but it also notes that Worldwalker is a small indie studio and thus not beholden to larger publisher demands. Regardless, the game as it exists now is essentially complete. Fortunately, there’s a lot to enjoy in the game all the same, and you can buy and play with it now in all its glory.
