Today’s Tarisland teaser video is a bit of good news bad news: It’s good because it shows off the female Paladin (including her shiny boots, for some reason), a newly constructed gender-unlocked version of the class, which the company previously announced. But it’s also going to elicit some grumping too, as it’s one of only two classes that will be gender-unlocked by the time the game launches later in June, the other being Mage.
In other Tarisland news, Tencent has a huge post up in Discord vowing to improve its communications, a post that uses a whole ton of words with very few details.
“Firstly, the Tarisland team would like to sincerely apologise to our players for any misunderstandings that have arisen recently,” the studio says. “We have been listening to player feedback, and we understand there is room for improvement in our approach to community management. We will take measures to enhance and ensure that the Tarisland community becomes a more open, fair, and harmonious environment, where all players can enjoy playing.”
The whole thing reads pretty vague and broad like that, promising an updated set of community rules, and bigger community management team, and “protect negative feedback, provided it’s constructive and fair.”
