Lost Ark’s third roadmap of the year has arrived as of this afternoon, heralding core new content and features coming to the game from August through November. So not quite quarterly, but we doubt anyone’s complaining.

August will be “light on what [the devs] traditionally refer to as content,” according to Amazon, but it will send IL 1600 players to Indigo Island, continue the Maharaka festival, introduce the style book for cosmetic outfits, tweak the Echidna raid, and add the bound gold system, which is specific to the western version of the game.

“This will allow players to earn additional gold from in-game activities to use in progression systems,” Amazon explains. “It’s important to note that we are still working out exactly where this gold will be earnable in-game, and that the Bound Gold system will have adjustments to ensure it fits in uniquely to the Western Version of the game. This means it won’t be the same with what you might see in other regions, but we will share more details on this leading up to the August Update.”

September will see the introduction of the North Kurzan continent and include Tier 4 content, “the biggest endgame update and overhaul to date in the Western version of Lost Ark.” The overhaul touches on everything from new content types to gear. Players can also expect new time-limited express servers to help players rush their way to T4.

Finally, in October, Amazon will roll out the Aegir Kazeros raid, and then November brings Hyper Awakening skills, Buzzling Island, and new pet abilities.
