I have been a die-hard crafter in a lot of MMOs over my lifetime, but I am also the first to admit that some crafting systems and even some crafting professions are much easier than others. For example, in Star Wars Galaxies, I’m primarily a chef, which I’d say is middle of the pack when it comes to difficulty. Craft skills like tailoring and droid engineering are simple to wrap your head around by comparison. They don’t even use many high-quality resources, so they are perfect for newer players.
On the flipside of that, there’s the shipwright profession, which I find super intimidating, to the point that I’ve never done it seriously. I might even be scared of it. I mean, I have done weaponcrafting, pre- and post-NGE, and those felt easier to me than crafting ships and ship parts.
What would you say is the most difficult MMO crafting profession to master, and in which MMO?
