It’s time to get violently musical in Ashes of Creation, or at least it will be when Alpha Two goes live because the Bard archetype is going to be a playable thing when that next test begins.

The livestream began with what is effectively an announcement of an announcement, with an AMA answer livestream and an Alpha Two roadmap scheduled for Friday, August 16th, on the game’s Twitch channel. Creative director Steven Sharif promises a start date for Alpha Two (as opposed to a third quarter launch window) along with a look at when new content and features for the build will be released. Sharif closed by noting that Alpha Two will begin in October, but fans are still encouraged to tune in on that date for all of the specific details.

Speaking of specific details, the majority of the latest livestream is focused on the Bard class, with a deep look at the variety of buffs and abilities it brings to the party along with some gameplay from the latest build. The livestream also answered additional questions about the class, confirming things like buffs from multiple Bards won’t stack, plans to have certain song buffs available while mounted, and word of custom song authoring features for Bards later down the line. Those who want to watch the Bard in action can check out the video below.
