Diablo IV brings wave survival and widespread gameplay tweaks in todays Season of the Infernal Hordes

It’s pretty clear that Diablo IV is about killing hordes of demons, but as of today’s latest Season of the Infernal Hordes launch, there will be more demons. Waves of them, to be precise. Waves that come to you directly instead of the other way around. Isn’t that convenient?

We of course are referring to the marquee feature of the update that offers a customizable wave survival mode for players to engage with; players will have one minute to outlast each rush of the titular Infernal Hordes and the foes of the Fell Council for a variety of rewards from Spoils of Hell coffers.

Another major portion of the new season is another round of major updates to things like classes, items, specific drop rates, enchanting, and a whole lot more. Or perhaps we should say a horde lot more? Either way this update will hopefully be a wave of a good time. ‘Tis the season.
