World of Warships previews its crossover with Blue Archive for reasons vague and mysterious

Fine. You know what? Fine.

So World of Warships is crossing over with Blue Archive. Why? What’s the connection between a mobile strategy gacha game and a naval battle game? Who knows. That isn’t important. This is the world we live in, wherein World of Warships will cross over with every possible other property as often as reasonably possible, and the designers will not be stopped or satiated until every single one of your vintage World War II-era battleships is decorated with neon lighting and decals of your favorite mobile waifu. Or a Star Trek character. Or a Transformer. The game has done this before, in other words.

To be quite specific, the Blue Archive character bundles include the Tirpitz, the Takahashi, and the Montana, with each ship being given Blue Archive character treatments while otherwise mirroring the less-crossover-minded versions of these ships. You can also earn commandrs based on other Blue Archive characters as well as decals and flags involving a Shiba Inu, which is probably much more relevant if you are familiar with the game itself. The important part is that it’s all crossovers, all the time. World War II sure had a lot of uwu girls with guns in it.
