Mabinogi celebrates 20 years with an in-person event in Korea as the western version shares a roadmap

Mabinogi crossed the major 20-year milestone earlier this week, which is obviously cause to celebrate across the globe, but the biggest party happened at the Olympic Park in Seoul, South Korea, where Nexon held a big in-person bash for fans of the anime MMO. The video not only provides some footage from the rainy yet busy event, it also shares some messages of thanks to NA players from Director Min Kyung-Hun and Content Lead Choi Dongmin along with a promise to keep working on the western version of the game.

Much of that sentiment was shared in the latest producer’s letter, which looks back at the 14 years of the western version, continues to talk up the progress made on the Mabinogi Legend revamp, and perhaps most interestingly shares a roadmap of updates for the rest of 2024 and into early 2025; plans include a new Samhain event, improvements to the dye system and the UI, and the arrival of the Astrologer talent.

As for the game’s most recent patch, that’s focused on quality-of-life with the return of the Fahmes Ruin, improvements to the blacklist feature, and skill changes for the Elemental Knight, Harmonic Saint, and non-arcana abilities.
