One of the things that Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail brought to the table was a series of graphical updates that improved character models, textures, and lighting to make the MMORPG look a whole lot nicer. And while the updates in question were pretty well-received, there has been some feedback pointing out a few anomalous issues, which has prompted producer and director Naoki Yoshida to outline adjustments coming down the pike.

The post provides a non-exhaustive list of facial features that need tweaking and provides some rough timetables for when updates are coming: In short, things like beard coloration, floating hair, and glowing NPC mouths should be addressed by Patch 7.1, while corrections for jaws that are too rounded, eyelashes, glowing Au’ra horns, and stretched face paint will have to way for Patch 7.2 or later.

In other FFXIV news, the game will be holding a fan celebration at PAX Australia on Wednesday, October 9th, the tickets for which went on sale earlier this morningand sold out shortly after, which is par for the course for the MMO’s fan events, really.
