Albion Online releases the fourth Paths to Glory patch with numerous combat balance changes

You know the song.

The fourth patch for Albion Online’s Paths to Glory is out today, and it is basically all about combat balance. Some of those balance changes are about fixing things that were previously errors; abilities like Snare Charge, Flame Blast, and Electric Discharge were missing the AoE escalation they were supposed to have, so that was just a mistake. But a lot of other balance changes are about more fine-tuning balance, like changing Reality Fissure to have a higher damage value on the first hit and a lower value on the second (but the same overall damage), or improving the jump speed on Spectral Trident.

The balance changes are frequently subtle; witness, for example, the Deadly Shot cooldown being lowered by one second and its stand time being reduced by 0.1 seconds. Still, it’s a fine eye for balance adjustments that should hopefully make all of these abilities feel more balanced across a variety of different combat scenarios. Check out the full patch notes for the comprehensive rundown of balance changes.
