For once in the weekly Black Desert news cycle, the console version of the sandbox MMORPG gets center stage as the game’s most recent update has brought the Awakened Dosa class online, which should be good news for fans who like to manipulate five elements and wear dope-looking hats.
Just like its PC counterpart, the Awakened Dosa has the ability to manipulate the five elements of fire, water, wood, earth, and metal, swapping between elements to engage in ranged and melee combat or provide minor support for groups. In case you missed out what this class is all about, there’s a video below showing this new Awakening in action.
As for the rest of the update for BDOÂ on console, that introduces plant breeding for farms, 45 new species of rare fish to catch, a buff-granting item for a specific wagon, and the introduction of imperial crafting delivery, among other updates.
Additionally, this morning Pearl Abyss announced that it’s working on native builds for Black Desert Console for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro and Xbox Series.
“The new builds will leverage the advanced hardware of these platforms, offering players a superior gaming experience. Best of all, this upgrade will be rolled out for free to all current Black Desert Console owners.”
Meanwhile, the PC version of BDO has added a new Black Shrine group boss to fight in the form of Hwanghae, a revamp for the Darkseekers’ Retreat monster zone, and adjustments to the Dekhia’s Lantern monster zone item. The mobile MMO, meanwhile, lets players visit the Pirate Island of Treasures for 20 minutes’ worth of goodie collecting, as well as new FPS options for low-spec mobile devices, UI updates, and a list of fixes.
