It’s Christmastime in the final frontier yet again! That’s because Star Trek Online has reopened the Q’s Winter Wonderland event zone with returning events and a host of all-new goodies for players to collect. Assuming they’re OK with hearing the same two or three NPC lines over and over and over again.
This year’s activities once more feature well-known favorites like the fight against the Kramp’Ihri, Klingon ice fishing, Tides of Ice, and Cones of Conduct, all in an effort to get various seasonal currencies to spend on rewards and work towards the final grand prize unlock, which is a new Tier 6 Science vessel this year. Of course there are other things to grind for beyond the new starship, with returning Winter Wonderland rewards and a host of new ones like new seasonally-themed weapons for both ground missions and the Wonderland area itself as well as several new ugly sweaters.
The event is on now until January 2nd for all platforms except for PlayStation fans, which is experiencing a technical issue that has delayed Christmas on the platform; the event will be extended for those players to make up for the SNAFU.
