It’s said that April showers bring May flowers, but in DC Universe Online, April is granting players the opportunity to spread pollen everywhere, which will surely trigger some visceral reactions by those who suffer form allergies around this time of year. Incidentally, spare a thought for poor Bree as the spring season looms. [RIP me! -Bree]
The returning Springtime Seasonal Event for the superheroic MMO offers up a variety of new rewards for those who participate, including the new Spore Pod iconic ability that’s sure to raise the histamine hackles as it infects up to three enemies with a DoT that builds to a secondary explosion that can afflict even more foes.
Other rewards awaiting in the event include some new feats, a host of new cosmetics, new base items, and the ability to call the all-new Envirotech elite henchmen that summons two support-granting Biologists and a Spore Pod-slinging Supervisor. As for the activities, those look to be similar to years past, asking heroes and villains to complete seasonal missions to get associated currency. The event runs between now and April 28th, so get ready to spread some spores. And maybe have some tissues nearby.
