Normally when an incoming weather system is reported by the news, it’s because it’s going to bring a bunch of awful precipitation or other major effects. In the context of the early access multiplayer airship survivalbox Echoes of Elysium, however, it’s… well, it’s also going to bring those effects, but only in a gameplay sense and not in your personal physical area. Unless Loric Games has created some kind of mad science weather gun.
The game’s next major update plans to introduce rain and weather simulation systems that Loric says will “create additional challenges, strategic considerations, and opportunities” for players to contend with, along with the addition of gamepad support, which the devs previewed this past May.
A timeline for this major patch has not been provided yet, but there have been a couple of smaller patches that apply some fixes and attempt to improve the game’s optimization and stability. So if you’re only happy when it rains, stay tuned.
