There was a lot of stuff that went down at the most recent Star Citizen convention, although none of the things that went down there included a firm date for Alpha 3.0. (Because of course it didn’t.) Want to catch up? Well, the good news is that we’ve got all of that rounded up nicely right here. Don’t say we never did nothing for you.
Meanwhile, there’s other testing news to cover here.
- Keeping an eye on MU Legend? We hope you’ve been keeping a close enough eye to remember that the game’s open beta is kicking off on November 7th, and there will be no wipes after that point. Sign up before the launch! (Yes, it’s a soft launch. We all know it.)
- Fond of Black Desert? The game can’t be in beta testing here, it launched. But it can start taking beta signups for the Southeast Asian audience, and that has in fact happened. (If we have a reader or two from Singapore, this may be highly relevant.)
- Planning to roll into the Wild West Online? The game has scheduled its early access alpha for November 15th this time, so we’ll have to see how that turns out. (We’re hoping it turns out well. Positive thoughts!)
- Curious about how things have been going for OrbusVR but you lack the headset to test? Why not check in with the latest closed beta recap? That’s what it’s there for.
- Last but not least, do you remember Ironsight? Probably not. Well, closed beta is starting up on November 14th, and you can of course buy Founder’s Packs because that’s just the way things are done now.
Just like last week and the week before, we’ve also got a full list of the games we know of in testing (and of wide enough interest to be worth including) down below. If we missed a title or missed one of these titles changing states unexpectedly, do let us know; the more specific you are about it, the more helpful.
As always, we consider an MMO to be in open testing if it features free, public signups and will server wipe prior to launch. An MMO is marked in closed testing if it’s running a private test phase that cannot freely be accessed by the general public; it’s usually under NDA as well. Early access and crowdfunded MMOs whose tests we deem legitimate will be included. So-called “open beta” soft-launch MMOs with cash shops, no sign of launch in the west, or limited interest for our readers will not be listed; we also do not list expansions, with occasional exceptions.
