Final Fantasy XIV kicks off another free login campaign until January 14

It's not a continual free-for-all, don't misunderstand

Lots of stuff gets updated in Final Fantasy XIV, but maybe you’re not regularly subscribed to see all of it. That’s what the game’s free login campaigns are designed to address, and the newest one is kicking off today for lapsed subscribers to give the game another look. It also gives players a full five days of play time, so you don’t have to worry about cramming everything into a single day of frantic dashing about as you try to see everything.

You might note that December 13th until January 14th is a lot more than five days, but as usual, that’s because the free login pass is on a timer; once you log in with a lapsed account that hasn’t been subscribed for at least 30 days, you’ll be given five days to run around freely. That can be at any point during the month-long event, so you don’t have to be in a rush. Of course, players whose accounts were banned will not be eligible, but everyone else can jump on in and enjoy the free tour once again.
