There’s less than a week now before Steam players will get to experience the original Wurm Online, but just what sorts of experiences are waiting for them when they give this sandbox MMO a shot on official servers instead of on Wurm Unlimited? That’s the question being answered by developer Code Club AB with a shiny new trailer that showcases the variety of things players are capable of.
The video gives a pretty scripted but concise look at the things that can be done, focusing chiefly on the large variety of pastoral pursuits from crafting to farming. The trailer also showcases how players themselves can leave a mark on the world, whether it’s through creating trade, building infrastructure like roads, or coming together to form entire kingdoms using the various tools at their disposal. Of course, it also touts some of the combat-minded features, whether it’s monster slaying or outright PvP.
While Wurm Online is headed to Steam, it’s still an otherwise actively updated MMO, which means there’s a patch that was applied on Friday that applied simple tweaks to a few UI-related things. But you’re perhaps not here for that. You’re here for a trailer, which we’ve got after the break.
